Design workshop in Gallery SIA

Students from level 12/13 and high school went to a design workshop in the gallery SIA, where they had a demonstration about industrial design and learned how they can create useful objects from very simple materials that we can reuse like paper and plastic bottles. It was interesting to hear about and learn new creative ideas and have a one of a kind practical experience from a professional designer working under the design brand Tvornica.

Here is a link from this gallery where you can regularly visit exhibitions, talks, and many other open events: http://www.seriousinterests.co.uk/

Well-deserved treats for level 11

One of my methods for promoting the success orientations during art class is collecting paper cookies in a jar- one cookie for each demonstrated success orientation during class. Students need to work as a team in order to earn a cookie. The level that has the most number of cookis at the end of a semester wins an art party. The past two quintiles, level 11 got the most points and won a party in art class with real cookies. They enjoyed the treats, played a memory game with famous paintings and had lots of fun! Good work level 11, continue with demonstrating the success orientations this year too!
