Mosaics by High School and Middle School

Implied Texture

Texture describes the feel of an actual surface. Sculpture, ceramic ware or collages may have rough or grainy surfaces - or actual textures you can feel. \a drawing, print, or painting can be made to look like a textured surface and has implied texture, because it may look like a texture, but actually is on smooth, flat paper.
In art class we practiced various painting techniques in order to create different textures. It was fun experimenting with all these unusual painting tools.
