Students were introduced to Japanese art and have taken some aspects of their tradition and art as an inspiration for their lanterns. We used ink and practiced how to create elegant compositions inspired by nature. Students from the 12/13 yoc deepened their knowledge for Japanese tradition and culture in their cultural studies course. It is always a valuable experience for students to do cross- curriculum projects.
